Recently, the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi visited Taiwan district in disregard of China's seriously repeated warnings. In response to Pelosi's provocative actions to China,China resolutely safeguarded its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and at the same time took strong countermeasures against Pelosi and the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.

Chinese customs requires that products produced in Taiwan must be marked as "Taiwan, China" or "Taipei, China" when entering mainland China. Apple urged its suppliers to take this matter seriously, strictly abide by relevant Chinese customs regulations when supplying goods from Taiwan Province to mainland China.

In fact, as early as 2015, Chinese custom regulations have required the labeling of imported products made in Taiwan district must be labeled as "Taiwan, China" (TAIWAN PROVINCE OF CHINA or TAIWAN, CHINA or CHINESE TAIWAN), "Chinese Taipei", and label words cannot be used alone  like "Taiwan" or "Taipei".

Sources said that if the production of goods is marked as "Taiwan" in import documents, forms or boxes, Chinese customs may detain the goods for inspection, and violations will be fined 4,000 RMB or refused customs clearance.

In order to ensure that the assembly of the iPhone 14 series can proceed normally and avoid logistics mixing and potential supply chain disruptions in China, Apple also requires suppliers to make contingency plans, check product boxes and related forms, and make necessary modifications to Comply with the relevant regulations of Chinese Customs.
