Every time Apple releases a new iPhone, it does its best to present it as the most advanced smartphone ever. Even though every iPhone series has its good side, is it really better and more powerful than Android phones?

The iPhone has its good side, but compared to Android phones, it still lags behind in some areas.

1.No reverse wireless charging.

Wireless charging is a feature that many people use every day. Reverse wireless charging lets you use your phone's battery as a portable wireless power bank. This means you can charge wireless earbuds, smartwatches or any other compatible accessories directly from your phone.

Unfortunately, this feature is not available to iPhone users. The iPhone does have some great exclusive wireless charging features like MagSafe, but there are still plenty of Apple device owners who would love to see the iPhone add reverse wireless charging function to other devices as well.

2.The foldable iPhone is still a dream.

Foldable phones are nothing new since they come out. The original Galaxy Fold came out in 2019, and in just a few short years, Samsung has managed to transform the foldable phone from an expensive product to a device that just about anyone could consider buying.

The Galaxy Fold is currently ahead of many brands when it comes to foldable phones, but it's not the only device making waves in the foldable phone industry. We've seen devices like the Motorola Razr and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series continue to push smartphone technology forward in a big way.

At a time when foldable phones are becoming more and more commonplace, Apple hasn't released a foldable iPhone yet, and doesn't seem to have plans to release one in the near future. Apple has been steadfast in doing things in its own unique way, and a ton of Windows laptops have had touchscreens over the years, but we still don't have a touchscreen MacBook.

3.iPhones still don't have USB-C Charging.

The vast majority of Android phones switched to USB-C charging a few years ago, but iPhones have stuck with Lightning charging since the iPhone 5 hit the market in 2013.

It's no secret that keeping iPhones using the Lightning connector makes Apple a lot of money. If a company wants to make Lightning cables and accessories, it has to pay Apple a license fee. When comparing Lightning with USB-C, the Lightning connector has slower charging speeds, and its data transfer speeds vary a lot.

While Apple has been steady that all iPhones are using Lightning charging only, but in 2022 the European Union enacted a law that will force Apple's manufacturers to add USB-C to any new device sold within its borders. That means we might see a USB-C iPhone in the near future.

4.The iPhone doesn't have the best smartphone camera in the world.

Every year, Apple makes the iPhone's camera one of its biggest selling points. While the iPhone's camera isn't the best, some Android phones have better cameras. Apple brought a massive camera upgrade to the iPhone 14 Pro, boosting the resolution of the main camera from 12-megapixel to 48-megapixel.

However, that's nothing compared to the 108-megapixel sensor of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Compared to the iPhone 14 Pro, the Galaxy S22 Ultra offers more vibrant colors, better low-light performance, and offers an incredible 100x digital zoom.

5.Apple is still catching up with Android.

There's a reason the iPhone is the best-selling smartphone in the world, iOS is simple and designed to be easy to use. The iPhone is well integrated with the Mac and the rest of the Apple ecosystem, and each iPhone is stylish and well-built.

While the iPhone has a lot to offer, Apple is relatively behind many Android makers when it comes to cutting-edge technology and features.
