Its colour is controlled directly by the individual LEDs. It dosen’t use liquid crystal and light-transmitting film, so it can be made much thinner. It can be 1/3 the thickness of an LCD screen. It is also bendable. Since each LED can be switched individually, when displaying black, you can simply switched off the LED so that it can display pure black. You can see the difference in performance between the two screens when displaying pure black. At this time, the dark mode brings out the advantages of OLED. If we want to show the time, OLED screens only need to light up a certain area of the LEDs. However the backlight panel of an LCD screen needs to be fully lit up. Since OLEDs do not require liquid crystal layers, they are directly illuminated, so OLEDs are more brilliant in display. The advantages of OLEDs over LCDs are obvious. But there is one thing that OLED is not as good as LCDs. That is the dimming method of OLED is on/off switch adjustment. It adjusts the brightness by switching the LEDs on and off frequently.
